Yoga Nidra

An evening designed for you to focus on just you.  A two and  half hour Night-Time Reset helping you to let go of all your stresses and unwind with a blissful combination of Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra.

Held once a month on a Sunday, for the first 90 mins of the session, we will explore a Yin Yoga practice to restore Qi / Pranic energy flow throughout our bodies. We will unwind deep tension helping both physical and mental stress to be released. 

​

This will then be followed by a 10 minute break (to allow people time to get ready for bed) and then 45 mins of deep resting Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep), a conscious relaxation and mindfulness practice that induces physical and emotional relaxation.   The experience often starts with sensing the body and mindfully breathing to trigger the relaxation response in your body.  Yoga nidra trains your mind and body for this relaxation process so you can reach a deeper state of sleep.

What level of yoga practitioner is a Night-Time Reset aimed at?

 

Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra are suitable for ‘every body,’ whether you are new to yoga or a regular practitioner. 

 

Yin postures are passive and designed to stimulate the meridian/nadhi energy pathways across our bodies. Due to the style of breathing used during Yin Yoga, it also stimulates our parasympathetic (rest & digest) nervous system. This then induces a very calm state of mind, where our bodies and minds are in harmony and balance.

During Yoga Nidra, you will build a deeper connection between your mind and body.  Yoga Nidra focuses on cultivating conscious relaxation, reducing stress and anxiety, and feeling your body let go into a soothing state of just being.  It is advisable you join this sessions from the comfort of your own bed so you experience the best night of your life. 

 

All you need is your laptop, yourself, warm comfortable clothes, and any props like a warm blanket, yoga blocks, a belt, a bolster (if you have one, if not pillows and cushions will suffice), and a bottle of water. 

 

A Night-Time Reset is a beautiful end to a weekend, helping you to breathe your way into the week ahead.

 

Complete beginners are welcome.  Please note the cancellation policy for these workshops is a minimum of 24 hours.
